Welcome

On behalf of the faculty and staff at Hondo High School, I welcome you to our school’s website. Hondo High School has a long and distinguished history of service to our students and families, and has established many incredible traditions and legacies throughout the years. I hope you will take the time to look throughout our web pages and explore the numerous opportunities available to all the students who are part of our Owl family.

We have implemented many new programs this school year. These include a significant expansion of our dual credit programs, an after school Home Work Help program to facilitate assignment completion, Academic Improvement Meetings to develop individualized plans to ensure the success of all our students, and implementation of the C-Scope curriculum which will fundamentally change the way our teachers teach and our students learn.

Our students’ years at Hondo High School will be their opportunity to be a ‘Scholar and a Champion’ in whatever endeavor they undertake – and we are very proud of everyone’s accomplishments. Our vision as educators is to support all our students, both academically and socially, as we prepare them to become life-long learners and productive members of a complex and diverse society. In our relentless pursuit of academic excellence, our mission at Hondo High School is to make learning the priority for all and serve the educational needs of every student, in every classroom, every day!
